Patronage of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development

The Italian Ministry of Economic Development has granted its patronage to the fourth edition of the Florence Art and Restoration Fair.

The President Franco Sottani, the Director Elena Amodei and all the Organizing Secretariat of the Fair would like to thank the General Officer of the Patronage Department, dr. Ugo D'Albero.


The Ministry of Economic Development is the reference for key sectors of the Italian economy. These are the areas of responsibility of the Ministry:
Industrial Policy
Policies for the development of the competitiveness of the enterprise, to promote industrial research and innovation and to promote technology transfer, including through the use of industrial property rights. Italian Patent and Trademark Office. Protection and enhancement of the excellence of Made in Italy and Italian and anti-counterfeiting. Management of funds and financing facilities for the benefit of businesses, including through the instrument of the tax credit and facilitating access to credit. Policies to encourage the conversion and reorganization of production. Crisis management business. Policies for micro, small and medium enterprises.
Policies for the internationalization
Policies for the internationalization of enterprises and the promotion of Italian products abroad. Simplification of trade with foreign countries (Trade Facilitation). Addresses and proposals for trade policy in the European Union, multilateral trade agreements and bilateral economic cooperation with third countries. Promotion of new Italian investments abroad and actions for the attraction of new foreign investments in Italy. Activation of Europe's trade defense instruments (anti-dumping instruments, anti-subsidy, safeguard clauses).
The energy policy
Budget and national energy strategy. Transport networks, energy infrastructure and security of supply. Single electricity market. Promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency and savings. Technologies for the reduction of emission of greenhouse gases. Peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Program dismantling of decommissioned nuclear facilities. System and the national gas market, and its market system oil downstream (refining, logistics, inventory, fuel distribution). National mining policy, issuing permits for exploration and production of subsoil resources, especially hydrocarbons on land and in the sea. Storage of natural gas and methane in the South.
The policy for communications
Implementation of the National Plan for the Allocation of Frequencies for the services of radio and television broadcasting, cellular telephone and emergency services. Protect and safeguard the system through monitoring and control of the radio spectrum nationwide. Discipline regulatory areas of electronic communications, the radio and television broadcasting and postal sector. Execution and management of the service contract with the concessionaire for public service broadcasting and the assignment of the universal postal service. Program infrastructure for broadband. Scientific research in the field of networks and electronic communications services. Technical standards and measures for the security and integrity of networks.
The Ministry also carries out important functions in relation to: the promotion of competition, liberalization, consumer protection, simplification for businesses, price monitoring, legal metrology and precious metals, security products and systems, the register of companies and chambers of commerce; as well as supervision of the cooperative system, the farmers' cooperatives, on the books of the cooperative societies, on the commissioner's management and procedures of the extraordinary administration of large firms, corporate trust and auditing.
